What is involved in an MOT test at Callow’s?
We provide honest, reliable MOT advice and services.
An MOT is the annual inspection of your vehicle to ensure it meets minimum Road Safety Standards. At Callow’s, we offer professional MOT testing. This is a complete MOT test for petrol cars, diesel cars and light commercial vehicles – covering all legal MOT requirements.
The MOT test can be carried out up to 28 days prior to the expiry date of an existing certificate, provided that a current certificate is presented to the examiner at the time of the test. The date can then be carried forward to start from the end of your current MOT.
You may view the test if you wish. It will be carried out by a Vehicle Inspectorate approved tester. An assistant is essential for proper conduct of the test. You must not interrupt or distract the tester during the MOT. Due to the inspection procedures, items may appear under more than one heading.
The MOT test consists of:
- DRIVING CONTROLS
- EXTERIOR MOT
- LIGHTS MOT
- UNDER BONNET MOT
- UNDER VEHICLE MOT
- BRAKE PERFORMANCE MOT
- EXHAUST EMISSION MOT
